Have you ever run the Chicago Marathon? Neither have I. But this year, I'm taking the plunge in to the land of marathon.
And Chicago is one hell of a place to start, yeah? Consistently referenced as a bucket-list marathon (or run race in general), and with 30,000-some-odd participants every year, one hell of a logistical test as well.
Well fear-not, fellow marathoners-to-be! This year R3KC will be covering the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon from start-to-finish. If you were around in the days of our 2015 Disney Marathon Weekend, we will be covering Chicago in similar fashion: a multi-part series that picks up with registration, and finishes with a race report. Here's the juicy bits between, along with their predicted drop-dates (Intro & Registration is already posted)...
If you're already registered, Part I won't really mean much. If you're not registered, it's too late for 2017. Part I will mostly serve future participants, as the Chicago Marathon doesn't really change much year-over-year (as well it shouldn't).
Also, if you're already registered, you would've/should've gotten your wave assignments. You would've received an email to that effect. If you haven't, check your spam box, and then head over to the Runner Status page on the official website.
